Welcome to the home of the poetry of Jamie Godsafe.
If you're really interested you can view a few select cuts from my poetic ramblings:
I walked along the road to Despair,
For I was looking for the crossroads
To take me back to Life,
When I stumbled across a pile of bones.
The bones said, "Kiss me,
And all will be revealed",
So in spite of myself
I fell to the ground and kneeled.
I kneeled and I kissed,
All in a daze,
And there amidst Despair,
Great Wonder's grace.
The bones were gone,
A beautiful maiden in their place,
I could not believe
I'd dared to kiss that face.
Her voice sang
And words took flight,
"Come walk with me
Into the night."
For 7 nights I walked,
A blind foolish mute,
For 7 nights she spoke
As I took her food.
On the 8th I noticed a change
Yet her beauty grew more,
'Tho she never ate,
Something swelled at her core.
For 7 more nights I walked,
Expectant but bewildered still,
As her stomach grew full
And sapped at her will.
On the 15th I saw her pain,
Yet still her shadow danced
And shimmered like a ghost,
While I held her hand to the last.
For 7 more I held her head
And watched my Giaconda's face,
As all her enigmatic beauty
Dramatically escaped.
I saw no child go forth,
No suckling to her breast,
Just saw her age and age
And slip into her death.
On the 22nd she turned to bones,
So I knelt once more and kissed,
But to my horror a she-wolf arose
And on my body it pissed.
For 7 more nights I dreamt
Such terrible dreaded dreams,
The wolf smiled and watched
As I was woken by my screams.
For 28 nights
I lived in Despair and worse,
I had 4 mistresses strange
And still bear their curse.
So look from the sky at night,
Beware my 4 cursed Queens,
And pray true to your gods
That they stay in your dreams.
This poem is a finger-wagging attempt to warn people off playing with the moon goddess without due respect and gives a rather unsubtle nod to Lykana the wolf-aspect of the moon goddess Hekate.
