About BASH
BASH is the Battle of Assandun Commemoration Campaign 1016-2016 and has the following aims:
- To raise awareness of the Battle of Asssandun (1016), its historical context and its location;
- To research all available evidence of the Battle;
- To campaign for the 1000th anniversary of the Battle to be commemorated by an appropriate event in 2016; and
- To campaign for a permanent memorial of the Battle to be provided in or by 2016.
